Dr Boghos Boghossian
Chief Technology Officer
Dr Boghos Boghossian is an acknowledged expert in systems/architectures for image processing and trimedia language, who has published numerous research papers. Dr Boghossian received a PhD in 2001 for work on human behaviour analysis for video surveillance systems at King’s College, University of London.
Dr Kevin Lomax
Non-Executive Chairman
In 1979 Dr Lomax was a founding investor in Misys and subsequently built the business into one of the world’s largest and longest established software and solutions companies. Under Dr Lomax’s guidance, Misys joined the FTSE 100 in 1998; he retired from the Board in October 2006 and has subsequently held a number of executive and non-executive directorships. In 2003 he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science Degree by Birmingham University for his services to the IT industry.
Andrew Eggington
Finance Director
Andrew Eggington graduated with a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University in 1986 before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. He worked in the advertising sector for several years both in the UK and Europe in various Finance Director roles, latterly as Group Finance Director of a large WPP subsidiary. Since 2001 Andrew has worked in the technology sector, joining Ipsotek in 2005 for the initial fundraising and commercial launch of the company.
Chris Gomersall
Non-Executive Director
Chris Gomersall obtained a degree in civil engineering from the University of Nottingham in 1980 before embarking on a career in the IT industry. He enjoyed success in sales and sales management roles in Burroughs, Digital and Sequent before going on to hold senior management positions with Oracle and IBM. Most recently Chris established the EMEA region for PolyServe which was acquired by HP in May 2007.
Dr James Black
Technical Officer
Dr Black obtained a PhD in information engineering at City University with the object of his research being to develop techniques that could be used to coordinate object tracking using a network of intelligent cameras. Dr Black heads the Commissioning department and is an essential part of the team.
Professor Sergio Velastin
Advisor
Professor Sergio Velastin founded Ipsotek in 2001 and is widely considered a leading expert in the field of digital imaging, smart motion detection and the analysis of human behavioural images in crowded situations. Professor Velastin has now returned to academia where he heads the Digital Imaging Research Centre (DIRC) at Kingston University as Professor of Applied Computer Vision. Professor Velastin remains involved with Ipsotek in an advisory capacity.
